தங்கச்சி பாப்பா

3 வருடங்களுக்கு முன்...

"எனக்கு இந்த தங்கச்சி பாப்பா வேணாம் - எனக்கு பிடிக்கல" - தன் வீட்டில் புதிதாக பிறந்த தங்கச்சி பாப்பாவை பாத்துவிட்டு அழுது கொண்டே room-க்குல் ஓடினான் 3 வயது அப்பு..அம்மா தன்னிடம் மட்டும் செலுத்திய அன்பு இப்பொது தங்கச்சி பாப்பாவுக்கும் செலுத்துகிறாள் என்ற possessiveness அவனுக்கு..

இன்று..

"பாபு, என் தங்கச்சி பாப்பாவுக்கும் ஒரு chocolate குடுடா" - என்றான் தன் பிறந்த நாளுக்காக அப்புவுக்கு chocolate கொடுத்து கொண்டு இருந்த பாபு-விடம்.."இன்னைக்கு தங்கச்சி பாப்பா வந்துடும்னு எங்க அம்மா சொன்னாங்கடா - அவளுக்கு இந்த chocolate ரொம்ப புடிக்கும்டா பாபு." "இந்தாடா அப்பு, தங்கச்சி பாப்பாவுக்கும் குடுடா" என்று இரண்டு chocolate-களை கொடுத்தான் பாபு.."அப்பு - உனக்கு தங்கச்சி பாப்பானா ரொம்ப புடிக்குமா?" "ஆமாட பாபு.." எவ்வளவு புடிக்கும்?" "ரொம்ப" என்று தன் கைகளை இரு பக்கமும் நீட்டினான்.

2 வருடத்துக்கு முன்..

"அச்சசோ, அழாதே மா.." என்று அழுதுகொண்டு இருந்த பாப்பாவிடம் தன் அம்மா கூறிக்கொண்டு இருக்கிறதை பாத்து கதவடியில் ஒலிந்து கொண்டு சிரித்தான் அப்பு - கையில் ஒரு கூர் pencil-உடன்..

இன்று..

"பாபு, நாளைக்கு leave-டா..நாளைக்கு full-ஆ நான் தங்கச்சி பாப்பாவோட தான் விளையாட போரேன்டா". "அப்பு - நானும் வாரன்டா..எனக்கும் உன் தங்கச்சி பாப்பாவை ரொம்ப புடிக்கும்டா". "பாபு இல்லடா, எங்க அப்பா என்னையும் தங்கச்சி பாப்பவையும் எங்க மாமா வீட்டுக்கு கூட்டிட்டு போயிடுவாருடா..அதனால நீ வீட்டுக்கு வரவேணாம்டா" என்றான் அப்பு, தன் தங்கச்சி பாப்பா தன்னுடன் மட்டும் தான் விளையாட வேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணத்தில்..

இரண்டு வாரத்துக்கு முன்..

"அம்மா எனக்கு ரொம்ப வலிக்குதுமா" என்றான் அப்பு அழுது கொண்டு.."இதுக்குத்தான் நான் அப்பவே சொன்னேன், மரத்துல ஏராதேனு, இப்பொ பாத்திய, கீழே விழுந்து, உன் காலை உடைச்சுகிட்டே" என்றாள் அம்மா, படுத்துக் கொண்டு இருந்த அப்புவுக்கு balm தடவி கொண்டே..பக்கத்தில் தங்கச்சி பாப்பா அப்புவை பாத்து கொண்டு இருந்தாள்.."சரி - நான் இப்போ போய் உனக்கு சாப்பிடரத்துக்கு எதாவுது எடுத்திட்டு வாரேன்டா, நீ படுத்துகோ கண்ணா" என்று சொல்லியவாரே அறையை விட்டு சென்றாள் அம்மா. அவன் கண்கள் மூடும் போது, தன் கால்களை யாரோ தடவுவது போல இருந்தது...விழித்தான் அப்பு..அவன் கால்களை அழுது கொண்டே தடவி கொண்டு இருந்தால் தான் எப்பொதும் வெருத்த தங்கச்சி பாப்பா..அவன் கண்களை மீண்டும் மூடினான்..அவன் மீண்டும் அழுதான் - ஆனால் வலியில் அல்ல..

இன்று
"வீடு வந்துடுசுடா, நான் இறங்கிக்கிறேன்..bye டா பாபு" என்று van-ஐ விட்டு கீழே இறங்கி தன் வீட்டுக்குள் ஓடினான்.."பாப்பா", "தங்கச்சி பாப்பா" என்று வீட்டுக்குள் தேடினான். "அம்மா, தங்கச்சி பாப்பா வந்துட்டாளா மா" என்றான் அம்மாவிடம்..பதில் வரவில்லை...தன் school bag-ஐ கலட்டிவிட்டு, வாசல்லுக்கு ஓடி gate அருகில் சென்றான்..தன் pocket-இல் இருக்கும் chocolate-ஐ பார்த்தான்..தன் தங்கச்சி பாப்பாவுக்காக காத்து நின்றான்..

அப்பு வாசலில் காத்து கிடக்க - வீட்டின் பூஜை அறையில் - தங்கச்சி பாப்பா சிரித்து கொண்டு நின்றாள் - படமாக.

Immediately I went in and went directly into one of my favourite music director Deepak Dev's Chronic Bachelor- the song - Swayamvara Chandrike..A beautiful song - sung by beautiful voices :)..Radhika's voice is so cute..as if a kid is singing..The male voice is namma JO - that guy is just awesome..If I was a girl - I wuld have fallen in luv with him :)..His voice sounds like KJY, Jayachandran and my favourite Madhu Balakrishnan..

I am wondering y I am not able to sing like these guys..My mother has a great voice - My father is a born singer..His voice is ditto like P.B.Sreenivas..Infact he was asked to join films as a singer by his friend who was a famous director..But he declined the offer..

My sister's friend Praveena once told my sister "un anna voice appadiyai Karthik mathri iruku di..." - my sister told this to me..Sari namma voice ennamo unmayave singer Karthik pola thaan irukumonu nenaichundu (sry konjam brahmna bashai varuthu :P) - en voice - naane record panni ketaen...

Keta piragu thaan therinchuthu - she didnt mean singer Karthik - but namma actor Karthik-nu!!! ( hey heyyy Shirikathingho please - appuram naan Bhishwash(Biswas) kita sholliduven...) lol

Friends - Anitha - Muthu - Sriram and Insult

Why do we like some? Why do we hate some? The hate factor may have reasons - but for the like factor - I have no anwser..ennaku sila pera romba romba pudikum..some of them I havent even met in my life..But I like them a lot..its an anbu that is pure - no expectations from them..Just felt like saying :)...

Innaiku ennaku payangara insult..valkai-la muthal insult by a ponnu..namma department-la oru ponnu iruku...Adikadi cross panipom..Ponna partha vudane - I knew she was an indian/srilankan..innaiku when I was walking along the corridor - she also came..sari namma ooru ponnu thaane-nu - I wanted to say a hi to her..I talk to every tom, dick and harry..So inorder to do that...ava kanna(eyes) nera parthen..udane - she started looking at the ceiling - munjiya oru mathri vachu kondu odi poiduchu! Sari insult-a poiduchu...Oru courtesy-ku "hi" sollulamnu ponna - intha ponnu ippadi nammala insult panniduchu! Maybe she thought I am sight adichifying her! Kodumai! Vellai kara ponnungala ennaku pudichathey - naama sirikalatiyum they always have a smile on their faces..but this girl romba peter...Itha vida porathula..daily atha paarthu oru ili ilika poren!!!

Last weekend - I was speaking to my good old friend Anitha..She is getting married soon..romba santhoshama irunthuchu..She studied with me in RECT..but I never spoke to her..infact I never spoke to any of the girls at RECT..Only after I left college - I became close to some of them..and Anitha is like my sister..romba thangamana ponnu..From my inner heart I wish her a very happy married life..and I hope our friendship wuld continue for years to come :)..

My best friend, brother, guru, philosopher Sriram V Iyer, is in South Korea...erandu vaarathu munadi thaan india vanthan..thirupi poitan..paavam avanuku olunga saapadu kuda kedaikamatenguthu..the only solution - eat veggie pizzas! He doesnt even eat egg..There is no indian restaurants and he has to go to Seoul to eat indian food - Seoul is 120 km from his place! Innaiku night saapidama thungitan :(..

Ennaku epothume oru kavalai iruku..Naan romba over friendly-onu oru kavalai..enga amma kita solli solli pulambuven..Eppo parthalum jolly-a pesikitu - ellarayum ottikitu irupen..I never wanted to be like this..Valkaila romba serious-a sirikama yaar kudavum pesama oru researcher mathri geeky-a irukanumnu romba aasai..Infact no one believes that I am a Dr!!..Infact I myself dont believe :P lol...I have also tried hard to be very serious..but the very next day I get back to my own way..I was thinking valkai-la romba serious-a iruntha thaan jeyka mudiyumnu..All the researchers I have met - were serious geeks..sirikave matanga..etho oru ulagathula irupanga..they think about research all the time..and that is y they have become so famous..until I came across my supervisor Dr.Gorry Fairhurst..

He is just a ditto replica of me..Very jovial - damn friendly person..Romba nalla manushan..Very helpful...He is a damn intelligent guy..I would consider him to be the most brainiest person I have ever come across.....He single handedly runs a big satellite research group here in Aberdeen..Oru edathula iruka maatar..flies all over the world attending meetings, conferences, workshops..An amazing person...

Suicide - Another tamil actress

Nethu night I read that Vaishnavi committed suicide - romba kavalaya poiduchu :(..She used to be a ditto look alike like "N"...My sister used to tease me every time this girl comes on screen..I dont know y these girls commit suicide..romba kavalaya iruku

Yow kadal tholviya iruntha enpa suicide pannikiringa..Enna porutha varai - if ur luv doesnt succeed - fall in luv with some other one! Simple as that! Love is not a unicast flow - it can be broadcasted/multicasted :P lol..(sry konjam technical details kula poiten)..That is my philosophy - and its quite effective!

From my experience - what I found out was there is no such thing as the best soul mate..When u r in luv - u think that he or she is the best match for u - but after a period of time when ur luv fails and u find a better person - then u think "ho lucky me - luckily I didnt marry that one"..This is the Einstein's theory of luv (Arjuna - adra adra adra (gowndamani style) :P lol)..

Chithiram Pesuthadi

For the past one month - ennakum en thangachikum orai oru kelvi..Is chithiram pesuthadi such a good film? This film made by newcomers is the current sensation in Tamil Nadu..But the fact was that this film was released and it flopped in a week..Then producer Oscar Ravichandran saw this film - and immediately felt that this film was just great..and released the film all over again..With the Vaala Meenkum song sung by the current tamil naatin Michael Jackson Gana Ulaganthan (this guy has a damn good voice contrary to the way he looks :) ) becoming a big hit (even though some would beg to differ ;)) - this film topped the charts..Kumudam gave a 4.0 out of 5.0 and ananda vikatan also gave a mark more than 40..Vikram recently listen chithiram pesuthadi in the top ten list of best films he has ever watched..

Unfortunately the film wasnt released here in London and they dont have an original DVD..So my sister managed to watch the camera copy and she was damn impressed..She asked me to watch it..and yesterday I managed to watch it thru www.luusu.com..

In one sentence - I am impressed! A damn good film - culd have been in the league of Sethu, Pithamagan and Kadhal if the screenplay could have been made better with the hero dying in the end!..The background music was amazing..songs were good especially the Idam porul parthu song (the musical bit that comes in the beginning is just beautiful)..The direction was very good..and the last twist in the story was quite shocking..

Coming to the performances..the hero Narain (who started his acting career from Adoor Gopalakrishnan's Nilalkuthu) acted really well - even though I felt some of his reactions were bit awkward (even though the director has reasons for it)- culd have been better..Bhavana - was too good! She is damn cute - the voice suited her..and she joins my list of favourite mallu heroines (Asin, Meera Jasmine, Gopika and Padmapriya(even though she is not a mallu by birth) )..and Bhavana is the heroine for Bala's Naan Kadavul with thalai Ajith!
